ABOUT BAYS BREWERY
Bays Brewery is a family-run brewery that has been creating exceptional, multi-award-winning beers in the stunning coastal resort of Torbay for 16 years and counting.
It began life in 2007 when brothers Mark and Peter Salmon joined forces with their brother-in-law Will Freeland to realise their dream of creating quality beer inspired by their hometown of Torbay
The brewery prides itself on its awesome team who all share the same passion to produce ‘Devon’s Beer of Choice’ whilst providing an outstanding customer service from its site in Paignton, Devon.
Will Freeland - Head Brewer/Director
Will has an excellent reputation in the industry for producing award-winning ale having gained vast experience working Head Brewer of Skinners Brewery based in Cornwall for more than 10 years. His unwavering passion for producing quality beer is evident in the unique ales and beers he has brewed for Bays since its formation, all inspired by his local stomping ground of Torbay.
Mark Salmon - Director
Mark has more than 15 years experience as the Managing Director of SSG, a well-established training and consultancy company based in Plymouth. Mark’s main aim is to ensure that the brewery’s ambitious and ever-evolving plans are bought to fruition.

Peter Salmon - Sales & Marketing Director
Peter previously worked as an advertising executive in London and prior to this achieved a Masters Degree in Marketing and Management at Loughborough University. Peter works on all aspects of the marketing mix, plus he heads Bay’s brilliant sales team ensuring the smooth delivery of its beer across the South West and beyond.
Jo Pottinger - Office Manager
Jo brings a vast amount of experience to the company after working for the UK’s second largest brewer for 10 years. Jo leads the admin team as well as providing support with logistics and deliveries.
Colin Pottinger - Brewer
Colin joined us in June 2016 as a delivery driver. Since January 2019 he has become an integral part of the brewing team. Colin also has an important role to play in the running and setting up of Bays events.
Nick Blackhurst - Sales & Events Advisor
Nick joined us in November 2021 and comes with a wealth of event experience. His role is to manage and develop our current event set up as well as providing support to all of our pubs, hotels and restaurants.
Aaron Beecham – Admin
Aaron has a varied role – he assists with telesales liaising with clients on a regular basis ensuring they are happy! He also supports the admin team, the events team and manages the online shop.
Sam Wicks - Admin
Sam's main responsibility is liaising with customers to ensure that they are receiving the highest levels of customer service. She also looks after the accounts side of the business.
Ashley Blagdon - Delivery Driver
Ash joined the team in February 2020 and has fast become a key member of the delivery team. You are always guaranteed a smile when Ash delivers!
Simon Whitehead-Coyle - Brewer
Simon’s role at the brewery is to help the head brewer in all areas of production and also to assist with deliveries. Conveniently, Simon’s main hobby is home brewing of beer and wine!
Scott Turner - Delivery Driver
Scott joined us in July 2013 and is now a key member of our delivery team. He also manages the distribution of point of sale material as well as ensuring all customers receive the highest levels of customer service.
Sean Beeson - Sales Advisor
Sean ’s main responsibility is to work with and support our customers to ensure that they are receiving the highest levels of customer service.
Toby Green – Brewer/Delivery
Toby joined the brewery in February 2022 and splits his time between delivering as well as assisting the production team in the brew house.
Caroline Salmon – Marketing Manager
Caroline joined the brewery in 2023 and looks after all aspects of the marketing mix, ensuring our beers look as good as they taste!
Rich Dumbelton – Brewery Support
Rich joined the brewery in 2022 and loves fishing as much as Bays beer. He's tasked with ensuring our team have everything they need to brew great beer all year round.
