From its waterways and sheltered bays to the charities and communities that define South Devon, Bays is once again championing the best of its home patch with its 2026 Charity Brews.
Our family-run brewery will once again release four limited-edition beers throughout the year, each brewed in support of a local charity close to our heart.
Available via our online shop and in pubs and bars across Devon, 5% of every pint and bottle sold will be donated directly to the four worthy local causes.
Kicking off the 2026 Charity Brew line-up in late February is ‘Up The Creek’, a smooth, straw-coloured session IPA brewed to support Westcountry Rivers Trust (WRT).
Raising a glass to the rivers, streams and lakes that shape the West Country landscape, the beer will help fund the Trust’s vital work protecting and restoring the region’s waterways.
The second charity beer, ‘Afloat’, will launch in June in partnership with Above Water, a Torbay-based charity dedicated to water safety and drowning prevention through education and awareness.
This vibrant copper-coloured pale ale will coincide with the Paddle UK SUPER Festival (24–28 June), a five-day celebration of stand-up paddleboarding set in the sheltered bays of the English Riviera.
For our third charity brew of 2026, Bays Brewery will reunite with long-standing partners Paignton Zoo to bring back one of its most popular animal ales, ‘Tall Order’.
Crafted with UK hops, this golden ale stands heads and shoulders above the rest with its bright citrus notes and refreshing hoppy finish, with 5% of proceeds supporting vital wildlife conservation work.
Bays has been brewing in partnership with Paignton Zoo for over a decade, and ‘Tall Order’ celebrates a long line of collaborative beers which have collectively raised £30,000 to date.
Completing the 2026 Charity Brew line-up in November is the return of festive favourite ‘Jingle Ale’ – a ho-ho hoppy bitter brewed in support of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
The charity provides hospice care for children and families across the South West living with life-limiting illnesses, and 2026 marks the third year Bays has proudly partnered with CHSW.
Director of Bays Brewery, Peter Salmon, said: “Being based in Torbay means Devon isn’t just where we brew – it’s part of who we are, so it feels right that our beers continue to support the people and organisations doing such important work across the region.
“Our Charity Brews are about more than great beer; they’re about protecting our waterways, supporting wildlife and giving back to the communities that surround us. We’re incredibly proud to be raising a glass to these fantastic causes throughout 2026.”
